Aaradhana is story about an illiterate Puliraju (Chiranjeevi), who is a small time rowdy in a small town. He meets (Suhasini), who arrives in that town as a school teacher. Suhasini slaps and accuses him for ill-treating his mother. Puliraju, instead of taking revenge on her, gets attracted towards her and manages to join as her student. Over a period of time, Pulitsju transforms in his looks, behaviour and leaves his past life back. Over few reels, they both get attracted towards each other, but neither of them express their feelings. Puliraju, an illiterate drunkard and thug, terrorizes everyone in his seaside village. But his world changes when he meets Jenny, the new schoolteacher. She rebukes him for his disrespectful nature towards his own mother. For the first time in his life, Puliraju is ashamed of his bad behavior. He vows to change his ways, and asks Jenny to teach him to read. Soon, he is head over heels in love with his teacher.
