Accomplished sailor Charlie St. Cloud has the adoration of his mother Claire and his little brother Sam, as well as a college scholarship that will lead him far from his sleepy Pacific Northwest hometown. Charlie St. Cloud is a young man overcome by grief at the death of his younger brother, Sam - so much so that he takes a job as caretaker of the cemetery in which his brother is buried.
