Couple in a Hole

A middle-aged couple from Scotland is currently residing in a man-made cave inside the vastness of the forest, somewhere in France. After the loss of their son, the mother deeply traumatised, renouncing every ounce of her human nature, enclosed herself in this cavity in the hope of escaping the dark hole of depression. Matters gradually deteriorate as she becomes unwilling or even unable just to be on her feet, reduced to a humanlike feral animal. Defeated and hopeless, the father makes his last stand and tries to salvage the remains of their shattered life, but is there any hope left?
