In his youth, Sikander Malik lived a middle-class lifestyle in Bombay with his parents, who ran a musical band and a recording studio. One day the studio caught fire from a short-circuiting soundboard, instantly killing his parents. Sikander survived, recuperated and shortly thereafter found he has gained the ability to read people's minds whenever he comes in physical contact with them. Years pass. He now owns and operates a unisexual grooming parlor ('Xen's') and has a number of customers that include: Bhopal-born Tanya Ruia, who wants no one to know she has been separated from husband Jaydeep and son Rahul; Misha Patel, who sells cocaine to youngsters so that she can fund her need of this drug; collegians Bobby and Tina who secretly meet after hours in the salon; Rage, an outrageously eccentric young actor; Siddharth Mittal, a successful but abusive businessman and his daughter, Nikita. Things are about to change in Sikander's life. He finds he cannot read Nikita's mind, Misha decides to expose Tanya, Rage readies to kill himself, and Siddharth harbors a dark secret that could change the lives of his wife and daughter forever.
