Nightingales is an American medical drama television series that aired on NBC from January 21, 1989 to April 26, 1989. The series, produced by Aaron Spelling Productions, follows the stories of Christine Broderick, a supervisor of student nurses, portrayed by Suzanne Pleshette, and her five nursing students: Sam, Bridget, Yolanda, Becky, and Allyson. Other hospital personnel include Christine's love interest, Dr. Paul Petrillo; the head nurse, Lenore Ritt; and the chief of staff, Dr. Garrett Braden. The series was developed from a pilot television movie, also titled Nightingales, that was directed by Mimi Leder and originally aired in June 1988. Field, Walters, Swanson, Bennett, and Jennifer Rhodes are the only members of the cast to appear in both the film and the series.

Plot:

Five pretty nurse students and their boss Leonore are the focus of this TV series. They are all living together in a villa called "Nightingale House" located in Los Angeles. Leonore has a complicated private relation to one of the physicians. Allyson, the sexy blonde, is always falling for the wrong guy. There is also Yolanda, the underprivileged minority student Yolanda and Samantha who has problems to look after her illegitimate daughter Megan and study as hard as the others at the same time. Becky is the naive girl from the country side.
