In this action adventure set in ancient China, a thief (John Reardon) plots to steal royal jewels by masquerading as a prince and courting a beautiful princess. But when other suitors arrive to vie for her hand, the swindler's skills are put to the test. Meanwhile, the imposter prince and his con man pal (David Carradine) face the wrath of an enemy who frames them for the attempted murder of the princess.

" Devil Boy " ( John Reardon , " Merlin II " ), once foundling in the port of Shanghai , has become a avaontuurlijke young thief . He steals every street as he considers his family to be able to provide food . Now he has with his faithful companion Bird ( David Carradine , " Kill Bill " ) devised a cunning plan to steal the jewels of the royal palace . For this he needs to hand things from Li Wei ( Desiree Siahaan , "Marco Polo" ), the daughter of the governor, where he immediately falls in love with . Coincidentally, Li Wei is just looking for a suitable marriage partner . But there is a lot of competition from the Prince from the North ( Rupert Graves, ' V for Vendetta ' ) , which appear to be politically given the right choice for the governor . Li Wei , however, is charmed by Devil Boy and persuades her father to subdue her suitors to a series of difficult tests.
