Plot:

After twenty years living abroad, Padmini Choudhury, an actress-turned-producer, returns to India to make a film with her director husband Sambit Roy. Journalist Mallika Sen reports on the first day filming celebration, and accompanies actress Kakoli home to conduct an interview. Arriving home, Kakoli becomes violently ill and passes away. The police discover that Kakoli was poisoned earlier that day, and everyone from the "Shubho Mahurat" celebration becomes a suspect. Mallika investigates the case, but it is her perceptive aunt, Ranga Pishima, who puts the clues together.
