Plot:

Set in Japan after WWI, the young boy Akeno grows up without his father, who is lost in the war. But he has a friend, a ghost called Rheiku, who can only be seen by Akeno. One day, Akeno is kidnapped by the military and Rheiku sets out to find him, while Akeno discovers and confronts his past.
